Dash CRM 2.0

Dash is the CRM behind Direct Success, a lead-generation agency running landing pages and Meta ads for dealers. We rebuilt it from the ground up as a Wix CLI app, with a migration that let the agency move most of its clients across while 1.0 kept running.

The Brief

A CRM that has to keep up with the ads.

Direct Success builds landing pages and runs Meta ads for dealers, and every lead lands in Dash. Version 1.0 ran as a Wix Blocks app on a Wix Studio site, using Velo code and site automations.

Version 2.0 had to be its own Wix CLI app: a lead pipeline built in, access that works across organizations and locations, and a way to bring every client over from 1.0 while they kept working.

The Journey

A ground-up rebuild, with the old system still running.

  1. 01

    Mapped 1.0 piece by piece

The Blocks app and the Studio site stayed the reference. We read them in place, so the source of truth couldn’t drift while the port was under way.

  2. 02

    Made access the spine

Four access levels, from the agency down to a single team member, across organizations and locations, decide what everyone sees, from the dashboard to their notifications.

  3. 03

    Built the pipeline in

The lead logic moved out of the site’s Velo code and into the app: weighted round-robin assignment, duplicate merging, a customer-journey board, tasks and in-app notifications. Emails still go out through the site’s existing automations.

  4. 04

    Moved the clients across

A repeatable migration reads 1.0 and never writes to it. Each run brings over only what’s new, so clients could be moved across one at a time, even while they were still using 1.0.

The tricky bits

Two CRMs, one business.

For a while, clients ran 1.0 and 2.0 side by side, so there was never one big switch-over day. The migration only ever reads the old system. It can run again and again, bringing over just what’s new since the last pass, and it only ever adds records, so a lead already worked in 2.0, like one that moved stage or two duplicates someone combined, stays as it is.

The Outcome

Where it landed.

Dash 2.0 is live, with most of the agency’s clients moved over from 1.0 by October 2026. Leads, access, landing pages and ad tracking are now managed from one app, instead of a Blocks app and Velo code spread across the site.
