Heart and Stroke Foundation of NB
A long-time client with a massive, multi-department website. We brought it together into one hub their own team now runs, and they call us in for the complex builds, like Heart Healthy Schools and Hockey Heroes.

One foundation, many departments, one website.
Heart and Stroke Foundation of New Brunswick does a lot: programs and services, research, conferences, advocacy and fundraising events across the province, in English and French. Its web presence started out spread across multiple sites.
Working with Abol Media, we brought the foundation’s separate program sites, including Heart Healthy Schools, Hockey Heroes and Bingo, into one hub, then made sure the foundation’s own team could run it. These days they do, and they call us for complex builds and additions.
The Journey
From many sites to one hub they run themselves.
- 01
Brought it under one roof
With Abol Media, we folded the foundation’s program sites, from Heart Healthy Schools to Hockey Heroes, into one hub, where departments share customer management, email marketing and site content.
- 02
Built Heart Healthy Schools
A bilingual program section where schools register, build a plan and work through theme weeks from a step-by-step dashboard. It launched in the new hub in fall 2022 and resets every school year.
- 03
Handed over the day-to-day
Hands-on training means the foundation’s own team runs the site in-house.
- 04
Still on call
In 2026 they called us back for a Meet the Teams page for Hockey Heroes Weekend, its first version up on their two-week deadline, and to merge Heart Healthy Schools’ registration into one form and rework how its steps unlock.
The tricky bits
A school program that unlocks step by step, in two languages.
Heart Healthy Schools walks each school through the program in order. Registering unlocks the plan, and finishing the plan unlocks every theme week at once, to work through in any order, with the last one optional. All of it runs in English and French, confirmation emails included. A map on the front page shows which schools are taking part, and an annual reset starts every school fresh for the new school year.
The Build
A closer look at how it works.
-
▸ For visitors
One front door
Programs and services, research, conferences, advocacy and fundraising events, on one main site, in English and French.
-
▸ For schools
Heart Healthy Schools
Schools register each school year through a single form, then follow a dashboard through their plan and theme weeks, with the guidebook ready in both languages.
-
▸ For fundraisers
Hockey Heroes
Meet the Teams builds a card for every team, with pop-up team bios, from one collection, so staff add a new team without touching the page.
The Outcome
Where it landed.
The foundation’s team runs a large, bilingual, multi-department website mostly on its own, and calls us for complex builds and additions, like the Heart Healthy Schools dashboard or Hockey Heroes’ Meet the Teams page. That’s the goal for every client: a site you can run yourself, with experts on call when you need them.
